British elections 05

Labour party winning another decisive victory and Tony Blair creates a history of sorts by clinching a third term to rule the country. It was a well fought out elections and finally the people gave their verdict in favour of the Labour party. The point to be noted in this elections is that the Tories and Lib Dems have increased their share of votes. It's going to be an interesting parliament setup with the Labour just having a thin majority of 64. Among the Labour MP's elected, there were 5 Indian born british citizens and one from the Tory camp. Once again this proves the fact of the increasing clout that the ethnic minorities get to excercise in Britain. Tony Blair has to be congratulated for his win and hope he leads the UK into a great future.
